Imagine a water hose with 10 knots in it.
No water can flow.
When you start undoing knots, there’s still no water, and so it feels like you’ve made no progress.
After 6, 7, 8 knots, you’ve done nearly all the work, but it still feels like there’s nothing to show for it.
It’s easy to admit defeat and give up.
Most significant growth works this way. Health, mindset, business, whatever. The feedback loop isn’t immediate—that’s why so many people never persevere enough to see the fruits of their effort.
Keep up the work. You’re so much closer than you think. You’ll hit a point where enough knots are cleared and all the hard work suddenly gets rewarded.
