(Coming soon. tl;dr: you have a surface-level life (your ego’s life) and you have a deeper essence. Most people spend their life totally identified with their ego, and so feeling deeply dissatisfied with whatever problems the ego experiences, rather than realising that the ego is about as much ‘you’ as a character you’re controlling in a video game: you can play to win without ascribing your sense of self and self-worth to your character’s success)
